USPS is being pretty ridiculous. Apparently a package of mine ended up in Virginia, then bounced back to the sort facility at the location of the sender. :p

Processed through Sort Facility, June 29, 2011, 2:13 am, RENO, NV
Processed through Sort Facility, June 26, 2011, 12:39 am, SANDSTON, VA

Acceptance, June 24, 2011, 11:40 am, RENO, NV
Acceptance (APC), June 24, 2011, 11:01 am, RENO, NV

What is this... I don't even. :tinfoil:

Hopefully it comes today or tomorrow.

Then there's those times that the package teleports to you after they receive the electronic shipping info...

Arrival at Unit, June 29, 2011, 11:35 am, HENRICO, VA
Electronic Shipping Info Received, June 27, 2011

Yeah, I kinda wish I wasn't banking on that first one to come this week. ><

I orderd some parts for that I needed to come before Friday. So I shot the company I am ordering from an email, and they said that they could send out my package yesterday. Today I asked them if it shipped, and they said USPS didn't pick up their packages.

I am switching to UPS if they don't shape up soon.

Jesus, its not all of em either.... I sent two boxes out the same time, the slip says both were due Monday, but neither showed up Monday.... One turned up Tuesday and the other... O_O.

That 200mw Gatlin that I ordered recently was listed as " ... released from Singapore ... " up until the last minute, when they delivered it. I guess my Gatlin was sitting in the Pacific, and when it got tired of swimming it teleported itself to the Abilene post office.

I've had stuff like all of this happen. Even the commercial carriers (FedEx, UPX, DHL) are not ABSOLUTELY immune.

I am a gourmet coffee freek. Once, about 2 years ago, I ordered about 10 pounds of something that was special (Papau New Guinea... high-grade, in-season). It should have arrived in < week. For some reason UPS bounced it back from Dallas to Indiana... TWICE! ... and let it sit in limbo for a while, both times. When it FINALLY arrived, a month and a half(!) later, I couldn't see that there was anything wrong with the box / labeling. It was *somewhat* stale (just STARTING to smell bad from rancid coffee oil). I complained to UPS and to the coffee vender, they sent a replacement for free.
