Using the forum?!

I’ve seen some pretty stupid tags on some threads too. Some are quite funny, others are plain stupid. Don’t know any way of seeing who put them there.

That's good, RB, quite the change!
Pets are wonderful, and Pets galore, those are surely a couple of more relevant tags. :yh:

I went to post with a quoted reply and it didn't let me as I only used 4 letters or digits.
It requested a minimum of 5, since when has the forum done this? I know iv'e posted just a smiley or something like that before..

Edit: Just tried to send one smiley and that went through but never realized it had a 5 "character" limit..

It's standard for forums Pete.
There's a minimum of 5 characters as you say.
The reason you could post a single smiley is because each smiley
has a specific name, most have more than 5 character names.
If you try to post a smiley that has less than a 5 character name
you still won't be allowed.

Hope that helps.
RB

Thats what I did, I posted just "LOL!" with a quote reply on Tommys pocket meter. That how I found out..
I tested just this ":)" RB so spelling smiley has 6 characters right??
No biggie, I was just curious and just goes to show I post to much nonsense anyways:rolleyes::whistle:

No Pete, its a smiley but it's not called 'smiley', it's called
":y h:" no space between y & h.
So it's only 4 characters.
I just tried it and got the same message.

If you type - "smiley :y h:' without the space
You will see what comes up.
