Wow I swear it is impossible to find 16x dvd burners. I can't find people with them or places selling them Any suggestions?

See I really wanted to try hard to go the free route, but if it did fall through would it be more benificial to get the diode from there with the aizix also?

Might as well, StoneTek sells a pre-installed Sony diode in the Aixis module,

You should be able to find something inexpensive on E-bay, Craigs list.

Ya my mxdl comes in a few days and im gonna build my driver myself, but ill wait to get the diode until I know my driver will work.

You tried ebay? If yes and you werent succsessful, try harder. Seriously, there are always 16x burners to find for just a bargin.
