Snip, paste: Attach a Bobby Pin clip to your iPhone. Here's the reason: - Meteofan

All you need is just a simple clip to get perfect foreground shots. It almost impossible to take selfies in foreground, since the picture comes out dark, shaded or blurred. Usually when you place your phone on top of an area for a picture in the foreground you see only a black screen. But just follow a simple trick to take pictures very special and particular. Let’s see how.

First you have to take an old laser pointer. It is very easy to find at the stalls or at flea markets. From the laser pointer you must extract the focusing lens which is located inside, which will take the form of a kind of ring. Now you need to get a hair clip, a hairpin, and insert the laser pointer at its ends holding it to the tip.

At this point you have to fix the clip with the laser pointer to your iPhone with a simple adhesive tape, making sure to position the lens with precision. Now everything is ready for photos thanks to this rudimentary camera but absolutely effective and performing. With this system you can zoom and take pictures of incredible accuracy. The shot will be able to capture all the individual parts of the desired object. For example making a picture with this mousetrap at a coin, it will be possible to highlight even the embossed numbers, with a perfect and extraordinary yield.

So simple, yet very effective, cool. Thanks Alaskan! :yh:

It is so cool but now I need to get an I phone and an older pen pointer. Alaskan other than a cool post I haven't hit any flee markets for at least 4 or 5 years. I think i'm missing alot of good laser related stuff out there by now and might be pleasantly surprised. Thx:)
Edit...Im going to pay for this but is at the "stalls"

Glad to share this, I found it on Yahoo, one of those add-traps where you have to be careful not to click the wrong button or you are sent away to some unwanted advertisement page. The article was written to catch the attention of people who like to take selfies, but this has nothing to do with selfies and what they call "foreground" photo's should be called macro photo's. I already stripped out most of that, but didn't want to change their wording.

Of course, no need to take a laser apart when you can just buy an inexpensive 6mm laser pen lens on ebay from China, if you can find a glass one which won't easily scratch. What makes this work for a iPhone, or other cell phone camera is the short focal length of these lenses, allowing you to have it close to the phones camera lens.
