Urgently need battery choice help

Anything with fire on the name *surefire is ok* is on my "do not buy" list. I harvest 18650s from laptop batteries or power tool batteries, test them after a full charge and discharge and use them on my flashlights or lasers. Efest are OK along with fenix, nitecore, olight and other flashlight brands. They are pretty much sanyo/samsung/Panasonic/LGs with custom wraps & protection circuits

I like Panasonic and LG cells the most for 18650s. I have many of these brands up to 3500 mAh and a 10 amp drain in a protected cell. I also have some unprotected Efest 18650s that can drain up to 60 amps for at least a full minute. Got many of them from Liionwholesale.com as very inexpensive cells. You can do this if you look at their options every couple of days. I got four 18650s for $30.00 in total. And $10.00 of that was shipping.

I like Panasonic 18650b for capacity, anything that needs to run for a long time without excessive current needs like below 5amp. Anything that needs to pack a punch then the LGs are my choice since most batteries used in power tools are high amp drain batteries, downside is there's less capacity to these

I have some Panasonic cells that are rated at 3500 mAh and drain at 10 amps. I think they are very good batteries. To get higher drain batteries I do have to give up some capacity, but that's okay.

Yeah those are my favorites too which are the green 18650B cells. Most of the uses I give them don't see anything higher than that. If I need a little head room then the lg vtc6 has 3000mAh and can do 15amps. Anything with 20amps or more drops down to 2600-2200mAh capacity
