I was reading about the power supply... do i have to use there PS or will any PS with the right starting and operating voltage/current work? anyone here have the same series laser? i would like to take one apart if i can but im not sure how to go about it.... any ideas?

Would lasers like that be worth anything, because they're so old?

not really, HeNe lasers were extremely common at that time, heck I got a HeNe from wannaburn for $5 plus ship...
