Hello,

So the laser works great. Fully functional.

But for the love of god I can't get it to do any vector type actions.

It goes into raster mode just fine. That works.

But I can't cut anything because it won't do vectoring.

I have an SVG file I want to cut, its all dimensioned and sized properly.

the manual says to use 0.001" lines to detect vectoring. Okay, did that.

In the print driver I have black set to vector, or raster/vector, neither work.

When I try to send the job, it gets there, but instead of having the power settings, everything is at zero and it just beeps when I hit 'start'

Does anyone have any experience with these machines that can tell me what I am doing wrong? I just want to cut some plywood parts..

Make sure your vectors are always closed, most controllers I've used will accept a file with open vectors without error, but when you go to run the job it'll just finish instantly.

Hello, I had read your previous message in regards to your ULS 25-e laser engraver.
I currently have a ULS 25-e myself, I am having a little trouble starting the laser machine once I have sent over a file to engrave.
Could you please let me know if you could be able to assist me with the startup for running a laser job? I can pay you for your services, just let me know if you could assist me?
Waiting for your reply, thanks!

I'll help how I can!

What is your setup? What kind of computer, that sort of thing? What cable are you using to link it to the laser?

Hello, the software I have is coreldraw x6.
I have a lenovo laptop model #7757
I am using a usb convertor cable that is attached to
the parallel port from the laser machine.
I tried to run a job this evening and seem to have everything
ready to run except when I push print on computer the printer
reads: error-printing. Do you know anything that might
cause this? Can I reach you on email?
Waiting for your reply. Thanks!

I've heard of USB to parallel port adapters not usually working with lasers. They don't usually provide all the signals required.

Hello, would I need to run a computer that has a parallel port?
What would you suggest?
Thanks!

Do you have one you could try at the least? Just eliminate the USB-parallel adapter as the issue if anything.

Hello, I noticed there is a smaller parallel port underneath the large parallel port on my laser machine. If I could use this smaller parallel port, my laptop has the same small port.
Would this be something worth trying?
