tripod mounting clamp?

I got my tripod today. Unfortunately, the Smallrig laser clamp is coming from Hong Kong and will take another ten days before I see it. In the mean time, I am going to order another holder in the form of a desktop adjustable microphone holder which I ought to see before the Smallrig clamp. It is on an adjustable tripod also.
 





I got the Smallrig laser holder today from China, just one week from the day I paid for it with free shipping. The jaws open to 1.93 inches or 48.94 mm. It is certainly large enough to accommodate any laser pointer I have or could think of making. I went ahead and ordered the Ultrapod II tripod for $16.14 yesterday and it is scheduled to get here this Monday.
