Total Lunar Eclipse, TONIGHT !!

For those that don't know we will be able to observe a total Lunar eclipse tonight in Sydney at around 7pm. Should be awsome !! A red Moon !!!

haha i was just about to post this! for those of you who are in melbourne, AUS, it starts at 6:52PM, is total at 8:37PM, and finishes at 9:22PM. get plenty of pics, because it's cloudy here at the moment, so i'm hoping it will clear up before tonight!

The times in Sydney are as follows:

"Tonight's eclipse begins at 6.51pm and ends at 10.24pm. The moon will be totally eclipsed from 7.52pm to 9.23pm."

well i have all the approximate times for melb.
* 5:52pm - penumbral eclipse begins
* 6:51pm - partial eclipse begins
* 7:52pm - total eclipse begins
* 8:37pm - greatest eclipse
* 9:22pm - total eclipse ends
* 10:24pm - partial eclipse ends
* 11:21pm - penumbral eclipse ends

the clouds are slightly lighter than before, but i think i'll be able to get a view of it.

Perfectly clear skies here, should make for a good show. The Moon is extremely bright right now, kinda have to almost squint to look at it.

It's started here, about a tenth eclipse so far.

yeah it has started here too, its about 3/4 gone here, but it's not red here. i'm struggling to see it through the clouds though! when is it supposed to go red?

wow!! it's gone! it went red!!! that was so cool!!!i'm trying to get a pic of it, but my camera is hopeless at night shots luckily the clouds cleared up a bit! going to watch now!

nice clear night here just going red, dunno whats getting more attention from ppl the moon or the huge green beam going towards it

probably the green beam! ;D ;D ;D ;D it's just starting to go back to normal now, and the sky cleared up for me !yay!. i actually managed to get out my telescope(which i haven't used in a long time!) and my camera and snap some shots through the telescope. they are purple because of the camera, but it was really red! i have tons more, but its in a vid, so i have to go through and pull them all out!

I'm not sure what I caught in this shot, top right hand corner.  It was either a plane or a satelite.  I have better ones and will add them later.
