Today was a sad day for me,

My Two and a half year old Pulsar died.  :'( I remember the exact day I got it. August 1st 2006. I was so awesome! I never had any problems

with it. Everyday, 949 days I made sure I saw that bright red spot - it didn't matter how long, but it was always so beautiful. Then, a couple

months ago, it started to fade. Now, it is as dim as a 5mW pointer. :'(

I never updated my sig, but my DIY laser died in October and I lost my core a while ago...

I don't have any lasers!

:'(

me too I had a 200mw phr blue ray but it died along with my red 200 mw laser. I have no more lasers :'(

At 200mW its no wonder... ::)

Seems someone pulled a daguin, eh? :P

wouldnt this just mean you got to replace the diode? Whats that come to $20 plus some fiddling work?

Im not seeing the heart ache.

Id look at it like, time to pop the hood and break out the wrenches. From a recovering street racer addiction I can tell you that was most of the fun for me.

Anyone who greatly over drives a PHR is now gonna say " I did a daguin " ::)

Can you not put like a LOC in your pulsar ? 8-)

That sucks that it died on you, this probably happened because the Pulsar doesn't have a driver. On the bright side, it would make a great host for a new burning red diode. Flexdrive + any burning red laser diode could give you a better Pulsar than you had before, plus you could make it focusable, you could probably do this for under $40 too.

Was it with or without a driver ? IIRC you asked gooeygus to but in a driver some time ago, what happened next?

I'm sorry to hear! That's terrible. I lost my greenie (it died), and my blu-ray is way dimmer and less powerful before. I think it isn't over 80mW, probably a good bit less. I've only got one laser, and it is noticably dimmed.

The problem is that I can't get the top off. If I could, I would fix it. If I can't, I'd send it to someone to get it fixed.
(Anyone in/near Toronto)

But, when it gets fixed, it will be 100 times better!! LOC, focusable, and a driver! :D

How do I get the top off?
