Toasted diode on laser.

Hi!
I bought a cheap laser off ebay

And a day after i recieved it i went outside.
It was foggy and the ground was wet but it didnt rain and i pointed it at different high things and at the sky. And suddenly the laser couldnt turn on and i clicked some times and it turned on again and then it stopped working.

I didnt have it on for more than 30 secs a time but i used it alot in a short period of time.

So i try to dry the laser because it could have been the fog but it still doesnt work.

So i bought a new laser from ebay.com from another seller is there anything i have to be careful with so it doesnt break again?

The laser said 5mw on the warning label but it was clearny not 5mw because i could see the beam when the sun began to go down

If it was green and in the cold maybe you should warm it up and try again. Other than that, did you drop it? Or put the batteries in backwards?

The laser pointer did have a built in battery so i only had to charge it with a cable

After it stopped working i warmed it with my hands and warmed it inside too.
I charged it for a couple of hours but still not working

I would stay away from those charging port ones for a start and since your stuck on ebay's for now get the green 301-303 style.

Edit: If you fell for the easy charge and pretty colors then they did their job?! We all learn..

I know that That was the only one i could find with a charging port too
