time on forum vs real time

I have noticed (noticed it when I first joined the forums actually) that when someone makes a post or actually does anything on the forum... the time it says they posted is 12minutes later than the real time. Does anyone else have this problem? or am I living in a world 12 minutes later than the rest of you?
