Hurricane Ike: Tiger on the loose near Galveston


Galveston County Judge James Yarbrough says a tiger has been on the loose since Hurricane Ike tore through the coastal community of Crystal Beach, Texas.

"It's an issue we are dealing with," he tells reporters. "When you think you've seen everything you find something else."

Yarbrough wouldn't describe the tiger as tame, but he says the animal is well-known to the local community.

Update at 2:06 p.m. ET: The Associated Press says the animal escaped from a sanctuary for exotic pets.

"I understand he's hungry ... so we're staying away from him," Yarbrough says.

I want to see a reporter get mauled while they explain how a laser can blind pilots from a few kilometers.
