Wow! Just got my nubm44 put into a s4 host with extra battery tube, checked output of driver and continuity between + and - after every step. Put in batteries, nadda. Tailcap switch and everything tested ok. Was the battery - spring, stretched a little and just wow!! What a beautiful blue beam! Didn't realize with my glasses on it was burnin my carpet when I was initially focusing it. Have a 3element lens in it, have a g2 I'll try out later. Have more hosts, diodes, drivers etc trickling in man I'm hooked! i will do a proper review soon, gonna play a bit first....lol

Good for you, and here starts the laser burning addiction you are hooked my man:beer::rolleyes:

Wondering if anyone's tried this:
Got my new laser together and was checking it out, had a duty cycle of 30 seconds with hot (3000 ma mxjoe) batteries. Wasn't happy with that, (gonna order a extended, tapered copper heatsink) so I took it apart after some thought and filed the "keeper ring" inside the bezel so I can turn the aluminum heatsink around backwards. It now sticks out 1/2" in front of the bezel. Kinda like the way it looks and it's running a 90 second cycle now, I guess because the sink is partially exposed to air. Gotta clean all this thermal grease off it now (and me and my bench) lol. What a mess

Hehe, you have been infected with the power and beauty of the blue, there is no escape, only the never ending quest for more power and longer reach, but oh the fun this journey can provide, just ye wait until you have tasted even more, as your hunger only grows the more you indulge.

Stay safe and Enjoy. :D
