I've requested a clarification on the product as the specifications no longer mention pulse mode. But I can find no way to keep a 40mW blue laser cool in a space that cannot accommodate TEC cooling without a less than 100% duty cycle involved. The manufacturer is CNI, the same as the Laserglow systems. The manufacturer actually states >40mW but we act conservatively.
The price is very high for a 40mW. You could get a very nice blue lab system for that price but this system is simply not designed for the enthusiast. These are what we give away to companies who buy marking systems, etc (actually the 5-10mW until now since these are new).
The 40mW is the latest in the line of CNI GLP series. They come in .6-2mW, 2-5mW, 5-10mW, >10mW, >20mW, >30mW and >40mW.
UPDATE:
Yes all the GLP systems are still pulsed mode. According to the manufacturer (CNI) the average output is >40mW at 700pps
