i saw these somewhere on the internet a while ago. me and my son make them sometimes. its a great project for kids. (regardless of age) and its fairly cheap for the stuff.
the one in the picture above is now at my work on my table. i printed out some warning labels in russian or something. i have no idea what it says. then i printed another that says poison. when people at my work ask what it is, i tell them i found it in my attic. lol
you will need...
a glass jar
cheap rubber toys - not plastic "rubber looks more life like"
super glue and rubber cement
a lead weight or just a small weight
paint
food coloring
imagination (must have)
what i did was take the toys and cut them up head, arms, legs... however you chose and insert the weight so it wont just float to the top.
superglue them back together as your new creation. (like this)
paint it in a new color.. or two.
after that i coat it in rubber cement to give it that slimy look ;D (like this)
place it in a jar with colored water to make it look murky so you cant get a clear view.
now you have a nice new weird "thing in a jar"
thought i would share
