Hi
I wanted to know how the Alpha Series Lasers from Nova are...
They look like nice lasers, but I was just wondering what the quality was like...
What kind of actual duty cycle do they have? Does it have heatsinking?
I see it runs off AA's, that's quite nice cause that sholde give you like double the runtime compared to AAA's
Has anybody got one? I think that in the future, this is the High Powered one I would like to get, but since I don't have any cash, it could be a while.
So what's it like?
Senkat have you got it to test out yet??
Thanks
Jonno

Nova makes great lasers!

The advantages of the Alpha over the X series is going to be mainly the safety features (although you can get an on/off key for the X series)

I would think that the battery life would be about the same for Alpha as it would the X.

Correct me if i am wrong....please :)

Comidt,
I don't think anyone has an Alpha series laser from NL yet, however you might want to consider email NOVA and asking them your questions. From my experience they are very helpful and will answer all of you questions.

I dont have the Alpha but I have the Envee from Lucent Optics which is the same laser just under a different name, I am very impressed with it, LO say a 5 min on 1 min off for the duty cycle. I use Lithium AA for burning and 2800Nimh for normal use but tbh the Nimh are almost as good so once the Lithiums die I will just use them. If you do get one do not use Energise E2 Lithiums apparently they can kill it.....

Chief has an Alpha from Nova.
