"That's so gay!"

In the spirit of the "you're retarded" thread I too am posting a commercial that bugs the shit out of me. In the commercial the 3 gentleman sitting at the table point to an awesome statuette of a pizza man. While laughing they proclaim "that's so gay". Having seen the jolly smiling statue I assume they intend the word "gay" to mean happy, joyful, and/or awesome....then out of left field comes Wanda Sykes and says "don't do that. Don't call something gay when you mean to say stupid or dumb". This is about the time when I find it appropriate to call her out. She is the one in the commercial who associates the word "gay" with "stupid/dumb" This just further re-enforces the idea that Gay is synonymous with "stupid/dumb"

Oh shit, those little college boys just said "that's so gay" The only possible manner in which they could be using that word like that is to imply that something is stupid or dumb, I better go over there and be a bitch. I like being a bitch and a very small percentage of the population actually find it entertaining.

Here in NE, we all kinds of variants of the word "dumb" that aren't used elsewhere.
