TESTING RGB MODULE WITH NUBM07E 465nm

He probably didn't want to get into that for that vid.. but yes if you have a solid state diode with a dpss you need to change your color blanking accordingly

So if I would like to do a profi lasershow starting from zero, I need:
- Clubmax 3000 for 3000 EUR
- Quickshow SW for 500 EUR
+ any cables and DACs or everything is included into the above items/sets?
Will it work on old PCs with XP/Vista or prefer something more modern?

Honestly I would start from something less sophisticated and live control - not sure if it makes sense for me - I would prefer editing at proper illumination than while show is already running in the dark...

What about a crazy idea of buying a cheap chinese PJ like LH-laser or EMMA and replacing its RGB unit by some proper one like on jors video in OP. These vary from 200 to 1000 usd on ali, but probably only differ by laser power, while scanners and other useful electronics may be same. So, buying 300mW one with SD card for 200 usd and replacing RGB by 18W single beam blue I am trying to make (and CDBEAM from his part as well) - would it be not crazy show?
Even if monochromatic.
Still not sure how to adapt modulation for 300mW driver to 18W one but maybe a specialst could help with advice...

I don't think it would be that easy. You still need to match the divergence of all the beams to have anything that would look as good. That means a whole lot of extra optics.

Yea that much power and optics is gonna take up a large footprint.
You can run quickshow on older machines.. I had a pretty old laptop I was gonna use when I first started but ended just buying a cheap new one.
If your serious about a projector ide say do it once and right...even a kvant 1800 would be nice.

Also if any of you guys are on that fb... there's a great group called laserists.. I've learned so much about projectors and the industry from that group. I'm one of the abstract thursday guys.. joe.

I will work on the divergence as well, that setup has place and mounts for beam correction optics in design:

I doubt that it would be reasonable to open apart an expensive Kvant Clubmax...
I would prefer to get something cheap to tinker with. In another thread Grix wrote that he had EMMA EM-RGB234

and that it was decent (maybe with DAC and SW he has developed?), so I might try this similar one:

Just looking for a big body where a bigger laser could pass into.:D

The end price seems to be about the same as the one you are looking at has free shipping and the one Grix linked doesn't. Still a lot of money to hope for a decent projector. Good luck.
