Guys I need help with basically what a test load is. I understand its uses and why it's important, but no matter how much I look at different websites, forum posts and diagrams I simply don't understand what I need to do to build one of these.
I already have a plan in mind for a laser (40mW red laser, DVD burner diode and driver off a cheap green laser...the driver is what I want to reset to about 100mA of power, according to a friend) and most of the materials ready to build it, but I don't want to fry my diode just because I didn't use the test load.
Can someone please explain to me in general terms about what I need to do to build a test load, and what materials I'll need to go around and make it (or at least direct me to something)? I'm just completely lost when it comes to this part.:cryyy:
