tailcap repair?

I suppose this applies to lasers as well, but does anyone know anything about tailcap button repair? Has anyone here ever put a new clickie switch in a tailcap? I'm tired of tailcaps getting jammed from extended use.

I had a tailcap that had a keyswitch once, but i kept losing the key so much that i just replaced it with a pushbutton. (i hope the fda doesnt get on my case )

I've replaced them on several occasions. Not because they broke though. I've even made my own rear clickies on the tailcaps of Maglites.
