Swapping Out Red Laser For Blue One!

Hi, I have bought a DJ show laser and was considering the possibility of swapping one of the red laser modules inside for a blue one. I did not know if this was possible or if I would require other parts to make it work. The laser I want to swap out is an 80mw red module. I would appreciate if someone could answer this and maybe recommend compatible modules. Thanks

Do you have a link to the actual product? Also someone can correct me if I am wrong....but if there are many mirrors and optics that the beam will travel through, you would be wise to utilize a Single Mode diode like the OSRAM PL450B. I would imagine that putting too many optics in front of a powerful M140 or PLTB450 would result in an unsatisfactorily odd beam.

Just some thoughts,
Isaac

I will try to take some pictures to help you. The show laser has 2 red modules inside and 1 green that gets split into 2 with mirrors. I’m just looking on whether I can just swap the red one for a blue one and plug into the same ports on circuit board. I can’t find a manual of it on the internet but it is called a “TVS vs-968”.
