Surprise! Chinese seller got me

Poor mens test

I believe a old Floppy disk drive may be able to filter awell.

Tip: To make sure your floppy disk lets IR light through, go to a window and look outside with the plastic held up to your eye. You should be able to see through it.

Old film strips might help aswell ....

Exposed film is also a good material that will block most visible light and pass infrared radiation,

Correct me when i'm wrong..
I think the guys are more for IR Blocking filters than the IR Pass filters,

Good Ideas with the Old floppy Disc! Ive heard of old film strips but The floppy disc idea is new to me!

I mean if you are just looking for a way to measure IR output it wouldn't really matter which method you use, the only reason I would recommend some high quality IR filters is for a laser that was putting out dangerous levels of IR. To install them permanently.

But for measurement purposes it would cut out all that hard subtraction. :can:

The Chinese do not put filter IR on their green laser so they can burn, if not impossible to find a laser of $ 10 to light matches, but of course, we all know are very dangerous and a scam.
