So... after looking at the HighTechDealz site.... I was curious...

Are the sure modules ACTUALLY better for Blu-Ray or would Aixiz be just as good or better? Or do most people use the Aixiz just because it fits their current set ups?

Neither is "better" for blu-ray. About the only real difference is that the Sure module is a bit shorter than the AiziX. Here is a comparison I did.

These modules are really good for Blu Ray diodes as the Blu Ray diodes have a short focal length and the Sure Module can screw in further than a normal Aixiz Laser Module, so this lets you focus the Blu Ray lasers further away to infinity instead of 10 ft or so

So this is not true, according to your review, Dave?

i know this is true. I've dealt with thousands of these modules and the focusing ring on the sure modules lets the lens screw in further.

I'll try to take some pics of the differences tomorrow or Tuesday when I finish building lots of Rkcstr drivers and build some blu ray modules.

Forgive me for mentioning this, but Dealextreme sells these for roughly the same price, and would probably also make deals for bulk orders - and free shipping. Same size as the Axiz ones from what I have seen, but not sure of the quality/consistency.

The 12x30 modules from DX have the same build quality as the real Aixiz afaik, the lens ring is shorter and the threads between the head and back are different (they don't mix).

The warning i gave some pages ago still stands. If you want to be able to use the custom lens for sure, do not use DX modules. Use AixiZ!

DX recently switched the manufacturer (again) and in the new modules, the threads in the head do not extend down very deep. They do not allow you to screw the lens nut in very far.
