Is their another lens that I can use as a substitute for the aixiz module lens because the burning power sucks and I have to refocus it every 5 seconds.

well maybe you should put some teflon tape around the threads so it wont move around anymore and it wont need to refocus much :) and have you done the mod to the back of the lens modual?

Yeah, but I scratched the lense alittle bit. I will probably buy a new one but if their is a better lense out than I'd rather buy that.

Meredith lenses are better, but cost like $50 each.

Aixiz is the best for cost / power ratio.

thanks,
Kendall

You could always get a glass lens for it like the one at www.laser-sur-plus-parts.com (other retailers exist but this link was at hand, remove the -)

Or maybe use some optics from a sled as they seem to be coated glass, however i doubt they are normal collomating lens and they won't fit an aixiz.

It looks like Laser_Sur-plus_Parts.com has been Banned... I can't find that Sales Thread
or any of my posts on that thread...
I didn't see (or maybe I'm looking in the wrong area) any announcements about this ban...

Or maybe I'm the only one that can't find that Sales Thread... :-? :-? :-?

indeed, have a look at the optics section, at least two threads about using optics right from a sled.
i assume you have a red laser?
-get the AR-coated lens from ebay "virtualvillage" or similar. beware of the possible shippingcosts!
-use the stock aixiz lens

in fact, i only found a max of 10% increase (or less) when switching from the aixiz to the virtualvillage one. the scratch could easily cost you more %, try a fresh lens first. oh, for refocussing: the spring inside should prevent that? is it missing? you can longen (?) the spring, so it pushes harder against the lens..
teflon tape: be sure to not get any teflon between the lens and diode! if its an open can, i wouldnt use any at all, by screwing the lens you will have tiny pieces of the tape falling and messing on the diode!
