Stock M140 Lens good for Macro Shots

I found out something intresting, I think It belongs in this subforum.

When you take apart the projector, there is a glass lens matrix(24 glass lenses on a single glass rectangle). This lens is pretty much useless in a laser build but if you hold the lens up to a camera, you can get some pretty nice macro shots. Heres one shot of a m140 laser diode. You can see the bond wires inside the can. I used a galaxy s5 camera.

AND here I was thinking they were ONLY good from making eyeglasses for near-sighted mice!!
