hey guys starting my comback just picked up a 100 mW 532 Spyder III.

I thought hey low price about 300 bucks, and look how pretty she is !

So even though 300 is a lot of dough, while going through a divorce i just had too .

Appearance -sleek new design beautifull lines --a model 9 out of 10:drool:.

My unit came w/two batts a charger and laser shades -a 'must' i might add.

"Performance" this thing fires up a steady stable beam, a whopping 180 mW .

As tested on data sheet 149-155 i dunno my keno meter shoes 180 steady,

but after 4 minutes unit dropped to 170, wow nice

This is a billy bad ass burner, also it's divergance is incredible 1.1 mrad from

computer to end of hall 20 foot approx.

does it light matches or pop balloons yes yes of course.

pro's price, looks, batt indicator and did i mention looks lol.

Cons took a while to get,it seams that they are on back order a bit

but Def worth the wait.

so if a little monster you want get this unit ,

i have the evo pro ,spyder two and now the spyder 3

all working perfectly I might add

No offence but interpunctions are invented for a reason...

Anyhow, you should put this in 'review' section I think.
Good review exept for the lack of your own pictures (and a little difficulties reading it but that is just me, I hope).

Seems to me that Wicked is starting to gain rep here.
AFAIK they were a horrible company back in the day, right?

You listed all the pros and cons, and give us power measurement results...
Looks like a review to me :D

And that is helluva overspec unit, and you certanly are lucky dude to get 180mW peak laser in Spyder III package for $300.

Anybody else getting such good overspec units from Wicked?

If you can spare such amount of cash, buying Jays or Larrys lens upgrade will probably give you around 200-220 mW!
I'll be damned, PHRs are really full of suprises.

Dave once drove his up to 300mW, it lasted for full 7 minutes.
wow thats sweet if it ever breaks free repaires i loved that laser
Now that is customer service!
Your next PHR build will shoot up 250mW after plastic , and then decide to give 400 mW all of a sudden

Unbelivable how you got hold of that little diode.

When the jump to 170mW occured, was the laser in your possesion, or the Don't Lase bought it before?

BTW, @Don't laze me bro, you got any other nickname or something I can use? Kinda feels weird typing your nick in a sentence :D

It was at 135mW, then it was given to glenn, then I bought it from Glenn, (Still at 135mW) now a few days it shot up to 170mW :) You could use DLMB for my user name, it works well! I have a PHR in a coleman MAX giveing 230mW with aixiz plastic! It is up to 9min now :p but the tail cap broke

@J_L Thanks pal, BUT I dont think that thig is ever going to die! After all it DID survive an attack by my little sister!

Well the reason I am asking is,
If you know the current draw of batteries before and after the jump?

Maybe it is simply being pushed, rather than having a super efficient, like 50% , bluray diode....

Oh, sorry, hate to burst bubbles but I am just stating.
And where did you get the Lyre host... me wants.

No clue on the draw, but it is still working fine, there is no way to mess with the current, so it is no more pushed then when I got it!

EDIT: Sorry J_L for the thread jack!
