Spot that appears when blinking? eye damage?

(I'm going to an ophthalmologist, of course, but I'm just curious. I can't leave the house since it snowed so much most streets are closed in the area of the city where I live, so I have to wait)
A few days ago I was googling information about my migraines and high blood pressure. I was searching and I saw something about visual auras. After that somehow I started googling stuff about eye damage from lasers and after I finished reading some posts on THIS forum, I noticed a medium sized spot near the center of my vision, to the top-right. Now this could've been on my eyes for years and I didn't noticed it until now, or it could be because of something I did that day that caused it, who knows.

When I blink, this spot "lights up" then fades away in about half a second. Now while I'm looking at my screen I can't notice it even if I "look" for it, it only appears on light backgrounds and when I blink, or when something dark moves on a light background or the other way around.

I had a 50mw green laser in the past, the ONLY time I hit myself in the eyes was once, I was shining it through a window and I forgot the window was shiny and half of the beam reflected in my face , and hit my eyes for like a quarter of a second. I saw an afterimage like usual but it faded away after a couple of seconds, and my eyes didn't swell up or anything. I also used the laser indoors , but that was the only time it shined directly into my eyes.(I forgot the lessons I learned in school physics but I guess that was a refracted beam and about 1/2 the strength of the full beam?)

I only NOTICED this thing now, and the last time I used a laser was like... 1 or 2 years ago.

If I position the spot on a tiny object or some letters, those tiny objects eventually fade away like when I have a migraine or as if it was a blind spot. This whole situation is weird as hell.

Do I have a weird lasting ocular migraine or is this eye damage that I only noticed now after almost 2 years?

Google "Weiss Ring". My wife has had one for about 9 months now. Appeared suddenly with no warning. Acts differently than an ocular migrane (I've had a few of those).

I forgot to mention I'm under 20 years old.

Thanks for your help.

interestingly, the day I noticed this problem was a day where I lifted some heavy stuff, I had to lift a >100kg object and it felt so heavy that I probably strained myself too hard and started seeing stars (I read that this is related to high blood pressure) that looked like sparks that were moving.

Googled this as well and found out that they're also a symptom for retinal or vitreous detachment that in turn points to the "weiss ring" you mentioned.

It could be anything, and I really hope the medic sees something and that I don't suffer from some really rare shit that nobody cares about researching cures for.

The Amsler Grid
I can pass this test with no problems.

Now it spread thin, got a about 1.5-2x wider but isn't as intense as before, it's a lot harder to notice, as if it "melted".

I'm going to the ophthalmologist tomorrow and I'm going to post here if the medic said it's because of damage caused by lasers or because of my high blood pressure.

I would guess it has nothing to do with your laser use 2 years ago if it just showed up a few days ago.

I don't want to make you feel depressed, but it "melted" away because your brain told you it did. Your brain takes the information from your eye and tries to figure out what is going on. It compares previous information to current information and makes a decision. Eventually your brain will "map" the blank spot (the part that seems dark to you) and will fill in the dark area with what "it thinks should be there" !!!!!!

The process has limits and may not completely go away but the missing area will appear smaller, at least to you anyway. Your eye doctor will tell you "there is no cure, only time".

As for the heavy lifting. That could be a reason. My wife banged her head really, really hard a week or so before hers appeared. One doctor told her it may take a year to go away. Another told her it would never go away, but the brain will make it seem better.

This type of problem often comes after car accidents or any kind of violent head trauma.

A ps to your high blood pressure comment. I have high BP, the most I've ever had was a couple ocular migraines and they couldn't confirm if it was related or not. But I noticed after I changed jobs, I never had them again. So stress is more likely the reason.

Bro, do check your blood sugar through tests for pre-diabetes symptoms as well pls. Lifting heavy weights, getting dizzy, hi-blood pressure, eyesight issues are possible signs of diabetes mellitus that should not be ignored.

Thanks to everyone in this thread who posted and tried to help!
I went to 2 different ophthalmologists yesterday and the day before it.

I'm really hypochondriac and in the past few weeks I started checking everything and got really frustrated by all this. It turned out my eyes are perfectly fine, my doctor jokingly said that they're "TOO perfect". I told her and another doctor (went to 2 different ophthalmologists, they checked everything they could about my eyes) about the lasers and the blinking spot and everything, they checked everything in depth and couldn't find anything. I have -0.25 in both eyes I recall, meaning I don't even need to wear glasses.

I was REALLY reckless with my green laser, and it was a pretty powerful to be used at home, 50w but lazerer measured it and wrote on the paper that it was 75w. Shined it lots of times at night at home, on the walls, and hit my eyes 2 times while shining through a window, accidentally (who knew shiny windows=reflected beams?) and despite having blind spots for a few minutes/hours they went away and now I'm perfect.

But I really regret having done that, I sold my laser and told myself not to try something like this again, it's too dangerous, even more so because I forgot to buy goggles. I guess I was really really lucky to have made it out perfectly fine after all this but other newbies who are reading this should start taking lasers more seriously, they're not toys.

Also, the blind spot is probably due to migraines, as I said. It's in my brain after all.
The doctor said something about "unusual flashes" in my left eye (not the one that had that blinking spot). I couldn't understand what she meant by that. She said it while she was looking at my eyes with that eye camera thingy, and considered it the only thing "not perfect".
