I'm asking this kinda relating to randall158's speed of light question. This may seem totally off topic but here goes...

If you were in a car somehow driving at the speed of light, and you turned your headlights on, would you be able to see the light?
 





Yes. To you, moving at the speed of light, light would behave as it always does. But consider this: what are you using as a reference to tell you how fast you are moving? That's where relativity comes into play, but I'm not about to go into that, you can look that up on your own! :P

I think einstein said once you pass light speed, you're infinite?

But nothing is infinite in expanse. Infinity is actually infinite, so if an object was traveling to be infinite, then it would be doing just that...traveling to be infinite, and not actual to be infinite itself.

And then you have the other side of the street where we are all infinite anyway, and couldn't be anything else, in no expanse sense, in just an infinite sense as in consciousness / space / time.
 
Plain and simple, if you believe mainstream physics this example cannot possibly happen, not just because of a lack of means, but because it would be physically impossible (against the laws of physics), so unfortuantely there is no way to answer your question.
 
lol I was just posting this hypothetically but I guess theres really no way to find out... just tryin to keep you guys thinkin! (partially about things other than lasers! LOL!) just kidding ;D
 
I think einstein said that matter disintergrates when approahing the speed of light...
 
Wouldn't it be nice to be infinate but not in our life time to crack the light speed barrier we will have to learn more about string theories. Dimensional travel will be the way we visit the next star (folding space)..
 
everone has claimed that the laws of physics preclude photons traveling faster than light speed. however my mind can concieve of travel at a faster speed and therefore i will not rule out the possibility that a laser might be discovered that will push photons faster. new information will not change the laws of physics but widen them
 
excellent - now, me playing devils' advocate here : If you sped up photons even faster, would that not STILL be the speed of light ? Yup - it sure would ! Or maybe L^2 or somehting...but you are measuring the speed of light, and if you speed up the speed of light, it is still the speed of light. ;D :o :o
