what setting will i need to set the driver at for this diode LPC-815 20X RED LONG DIE OPEN CAN
to burn as well as have a long life can you also tell me what volatge i need to run it with if i use 3.6v aaa bateries and this driver http://rkcstr.nfshost.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=65&products_id=180

so how many 3.6v batteries
what current
and anything else i woill need to make a sucessful buld

any 1 got a second hand heatsink for the pocket pall?

As far as current goes, according to the datasheet for that diode, it's rated for 205mA maximum. Elsewhere on the forum, you'll hear people talk about running them at 420mA, but this is a gamble as far as lifetime. they'll handle it for awhile, but nowhere near the 10,000+ hours that they are manufactured to last. In order to see max lifetime, don't exceed the rated values. You could probably see a fairly decent lifetime running them at 250mA but I had one die on me recently after about 125 hours of total usage at 250mA, so even then you just never know...
