Hello, I am new to very powerful lasers and have a few questions.. is it safe to look at my spartan outside without goggles if the dot is about 50 feet away? And also is it safe to look at while pointing at the sky (I always check for airplanes :) ) I really don't want to hurt my eyes and want to take every safety step. Thanks for the help!

It is OK to look at the dot when it is a distance away, but you have to remember to be really careful not to let the beam or a reflection of it hit your eyes.

Yes outside its safe that far away, but inside or anything else, you need proper safety goggles.

If the object doesn´t reflect too much, it will be safe for you - not for another person who is standing /walking near the dot.
