Hey guys been a while since I’ve been on. I was given a host by a nice gentleman on these forums. Well it has failed specifically the button.

Anyway I am wanting to get something a bit nicer. But am unsure where to look these days to get what I’m After. Please excuse me if my terminology is off.

I like the flashlight style if anyone can recommend where to get these thanks!

That is a 501B flashlight host and is very common for lasers under 1.5 watts. Are you sure the switch in the tail cap is bad? Because these fail very infrequently. At least in the several dozen I have built with. If the switch is bad you can pick up another flashlight in purple to get another tail cap and you are on your way. I would check eBay first.

Yes sir something in the switch shorted got super hot before I could get it unscrewed. Once I did the switch fell out of it. Like disentegrated. So googling 501b flashlight host should get me what I need?
 
Yes, they all take an 18650 battery or two 16340s. I would just order the flashlight in that color and be done with it.

Yip just placed the order with fasttech. A whopping 7 bucks. Appreciate the help. I tried forever to remember what type of host this was. As soon as I read 501b it came back...... lol. Thanks again man!
 
Hi I just built this 501B with a PL520B diode single mode , These are great hosts and I machine a full heat sink prewired .
