SonyStyle is a F****** Scammer!!

Wow , that really sucks Lazerlover. I am really sorry you got ripped off. There are a lot of scammers out there, and this just proves how careful you have to be these days. I am all for a mod acting as a third party. It may be a little more expensive in shipping and may take a little bit longer, but think of it as an insurance policy and an assurance that you WILL get what you paid / Traded for.

As I've said before, avoid any trades with people in Oviedo FL. That's where TG is, SonyStyle acted much like TG, and I'm close enough to 100% sure you're dealing with the same scammer. I'm sorry, but your stuff is gone. You may want to look into pressing mail fraud charges if possible.

And everyone else: DONT SEND ANYTHING TO OVIEDO FL!

Umm... You're generalizing across a whole city there buddy... I think you should limit your statement to that person and who he is associated with. I live not too far away and I have many friends from Oviedo. Saying everyone there is a scammer is like saying all of SmallTown USA should be banned form online trades and trust... that is just rude

Middleman is a pretty good idea, but keep me out of it. I'm not even going to offer dealing with that person. Although I am close by, and could possibly help with future malers... maybe. I don't want to take responsibility for a $2000 laser and have it run away on me.

Just looked at the address on the map... that's in the "good" area of oviedo, and some of the newly built and rather expensive communities. I think there must be some kind of professional work done there... so, perhaps you should tell the police and let them handle it. I mean, you have all your documentation and a record of all the communications, right?

This just goes to show... do not trust blindly. be wary of who you send hundreds to, be it in the form of cash, or another object.

VERY valid point - do not shun an entire city due to the machinations of one jackass. I can confirm through my own sense of honor and integrity that Daedal is a stand up guy....

now on to a lighter subject - DDL - you wanna take up a collection for gas money to go collect the GPS, and the THOUSANDS of dollars of lasers he has squirreled away ? ;D ;D
I have a 5500 limit on a Mastercard.....(kidding) (okay - not TOTALLY kidding) (Yeah, safer to not say stuff that will turn around and bite me later)
But - seriously, folks - go back and re-read all the postings in this thread, and the others pertaining to this clown. Sounds pretty damned scary to me if you re-read them. It truly has developed into a lynch mob mentality, and I don't like it at all. I know I contributed to it - I have serious anger issues - just ask Lazerlover what an overbearing asshole I can be if I get worked up. I encourage him to forward my nasty email to others, as a matter of fact - so everyone can know how ashamed I am of my words, and actions towards him. What I am saying is - we are all human, and we should really take a look around, and kinda raise ourselves above this kind of stuff - and be BETTER than that - otherwise, we are no better than ignorant morons who degrade our very existence with our actions.

I agree with the trend that was happening here. It's better to be safe than to be sorry. As we know that already a good chunk has been scammed. :'( Although, to have it spread and affect other people in the entire state is a little overboard. We know for a fact that both trades involved the same address, thus the address itself, and maybe the paypal accounts, should both be banned.

I know what you're saying, but c'mon, how else to do it? Every time TG pops around, its from Oviedo. There haven't been any serious people from there trying to trade, just the scammer. Its a bit of a burden if a reputable person does pop up from Oviedo and want to trade lasers, but considering what TG has done, its a burden I feel is necessary.

Spotting Oviedo in the mailing address has so far been the only quick way of identifying this person who has changed names many times, and now even addresses. I'd rather make a little unfair generalization and possibly make internet trading a little harder for some guy in Oviedo if it helps stop TG. If a non-TG guy does pop up though, that can be dealt with then.

I'm sorry if you find this rude/unfair, and I agree that it is, but I hope you see where I'm coming from.
 
I am gonna be the old wise owl here (my age gives me this right) LL has been ripped off and short of reporting him to the USPS or the police, there is nothing you can do to right this wrong. Sorry if this sounds unfair or harsh, but thats the way it is. Put it behind you guys and gals. Don't let hate cloud your judgment and don't forget that we are all here for the love of lasers.

LL I am sorry you were scammed, I really am. Consider this a lesson in life, people and organisations will always try to scam you for your goods or money. Trust only those you feel you can, and if in any doubt use a mod as a middle man.
I am a firm believer that what goes round will come round, and this little S*IT will have what is coming to him.

LL , Dont feel too bad, move on my friend , learn a lesson and rest assured he will get his Comeuppance.

thanks to everyone who has read this and given their input it goes without saying any trading especially to Florida should have a middle man, it just puts both parties trading at ease.
As for senkats earlier suggestion, I don't have anything to raffle, but next raffle if you want to set it up for lovinlasers22(who the gps belonged to and who was going to get the laser) we could(I would donate as well, as I feel badly) set something up to help him get something out of this deal, even if it's not a 95mw nexus even if it's only a WL core atlest he'd get something. Let me know what you guys think about this, if not once I have a little more cash on my own i'm probably going to buy him a nova laser to make up for the gps.
