Something wrong with Laser / PLEASE HELP

I bought a blue laser pointer about a year ago, and something recently happened. The laser is now incredibly dim. It is a 405nm 400mw blue/violet laser that I ordered from O-Like.com. It used to burn and was incredibly bright, now i can barely see it and it doesn't burn anymore. I tried replacing the battery, but the problem remains. I took off the lens and looked at the laser pattern, and maybe something is wrong. Take a look at the picture below.

Does anyone know what happened? I really love this laser.

Yeap agree dead diode sorry ....

Yep, the diode is KAPUT. Usually a 405nm diode would be single mode and the majority of the colour would be in the inner part of the circle, not the outer 2 stripes we are seeing.
