Something Weird

Hi guys

Im building my second Dorcy Jr PHR build using the first tutorial in the complied list of tutorials in the tutorial section
Sorry Id post a link but I cant yet.

Im using a new Flexdrive V4 set at  120 ma and a new phr diode

When i powered it up it gave a bright flash of violet light then appeared to turn off
I checked all the connections and they seem fine.
Whenever i disconnect then reconnect the power it shines really bright for a split second then goes completely off (not dim like it would be if it burned out).
Anybody know whats going on?

Sounds like a battery connection issue or a switch issue right off...

I know this is silly, but you have to ask because you just never know...

Did you try new batteries?

I checked all the connections again and they seem fine
Im sure its not a battery connection issue becuase i just connect a wire and it goes on then off, then i reconnect the wire in the same place and it goes on for a second etc etc

i dont think i need a new battery. the battery is a few months old and i did power another phr laser with it but not for very long
also im still getting over 3 volts on the multimeter.
do lithiums keep up their voltage until they die?

alright i got really frustrated and just took it all apart and started from square one
maybe a cold joint or something
problem solved
its working now
