some unposted pics

These pics were taken a few weeks ago and never got posted. This is the batch where IssacT (WBS) found one of them on Photobucket, I imagine, and posted it on my 6/7 post. The first batch were using a beam splitter, mirrors, eventually my glass sphere, and mini glass skull. There are a few decent pics. The second part is where I used different diffraction gratings to get different rainbow effects. Personally I like the ones using the reflective fan and matrix gratings to make the beams bounce back toward the lasers. Enjoy

Thanks for sharing :beer: I really like the 6th from last. Also, gotta love those big PBS cubes, right? They are from surplusshed, I'm assuming? If you have more of them, it would be cool to stack them, then have the lasers come in perpendicular on two adjacent faces, then put fan gratings after the two output sides. Just a thought

Crazyspaz- the bottom cube is actually two of the same prism together making a cube and you are correct, the actual beam splitter on top is for Surplus Shed. The sixth pic from the bottom is nice I think because of the angle it was taken at. Whenever I set my stuff up to photograph, I always leave room to walk around the set up so I can photograph it from all angles. Sometimes being off to the side or behind the set up looks totally different that straight on. I have stacked up different cubes, prisms and all other manners of glass in the past. But it would be really cool to get some more splitters the same size. The next time Surplus Shed has a special on them I should get a few more. I always appreciate suggestions on ideas that will help me get better results, so keep em coming, thanks.

Are you signed up for surplus sheds emails?if so you will get emails about sales, usually they are around 50 percent off for a few days. I took advantage of this a few times and now have 4 of them...

Na you do a good job of changing your pics up and I'm always impressed at the precise placement of each prism and laser, I was saying if I can see the pic in this thread, then it's been posted
