[solved] green laser dot extreme distortion?

[SOLVED] THANKS TO: azzman372 & Misanthrop

Pic explains my problem:

I'm guessing this is undo-able or I have to be experienced to fix these artefacts?

Try cleaning the lens? I know with my greens a little bit of dust causes that kind of distortion

I have never cleaned a lens before, I'm guessing I need lens cleaning equipment? :thinking:

Compressed air also works...

I have 9 bar on tap at work :D :D (130 psi.)

But that's a lot more powerful than you will need :D

Alternativley you could just get a cue tip/cotton bud and lightly wipe the lens. Or try adding some Isopropyl alcohol or rubbing alcohol.

Unfortunately my compressed air can ran out within 2 weeks. I used it too much I guess on my dusty PC!

So now I showed you the lens, is it compatible for cleaning?

Be very careful when trying to clean the lens on that. Just thought of another way to clean it. Use a micro fibre cloth like the ones used to clean glasses.

If it is plastic and your going to use an alcohol based cleaner then I'd say no..

Glass is obviously fine... can you tell if it's plastic or glass.

It is glass.

After a careful clean, the fibre cloth seems to have more or less done the job?
