I have a new build using the NDB7A75 3.5w diode in a bronze MX900 host.
Uses custom 4 mode driver with medium, high, low and strobe with high mode set @4amps.
Currently has G2 lens but can put a 3 element in if wanted. The duty cycle is 1 minute,
recommended. Uses 2x26650 or with included adapter sleeves 2x18650 batteries, not included.
I only have a 3.7w LPM, so not sure how far over 4w it actually is. It
pegged very quickly.

Edit: Also comes with choice of focus adapter. Will post a few pics
with each adapter installed.

Here are some pic's...

The first few beam shots are with it on medium. The last one is on high.
Looks a little different because of the camera. It's not that big a difference in
brightness though is noticeable. Asking price for this beast is $250, shipped CONUS.

that is amazing. Id buy it if i had not just bought over a 1000 dollars worth of flashlights and lasers. I dont have a problem i keep telling my self.

how much brighter is this laser compared to the 2w 462nm lasers. is it a huge difference and is the color notably lighter blue?

It's not a big difference, but it is noticeably brighter. The 462nm diode's are much more blue. When I run this side by side with my 2w 462nm build, it is more purple and a little brighter.
