So exactly how difficult is it to build a 532nm laser?

Is it just from a difficulty standpoint that I do not see threads on DIY 532 lasers or is it a cost factor to where it is cheaper to buy one already done?

I recommend you to buy the laser/module

Crystal alignment is very tedious and difficult.
There are some members who do build their own, but it isn't easy like soldering a driver to a diode.

Here is a new, interesting, crystal setup that may look promising and make 532nm laser building somewhat easier.
