simple way to turn a beam circular?

so the other day I was messing around with my 445, and I turned the AiXiZ lens around, (as in backwards) and the beam was circular, mostly. I don't know if this has been mentioned before with any multimodes, but it seems as a simple as a solution could get for this problem

yeah, I know, pics or it didn't happen, but my camera is dead and needs to charge

You shouldn't be able to focus it very well with the lens in backwards.

It will give you a nice 10in circle at 15ft, but when going down to a dot, you get all sorts of weird shapes.

So circle yes, divergence...

But you could use a different lens to focus that. But anamorphic prisms are probably easier.

Believe me when I say I have tried.. I have tried a FAC from
an 808 assembly, even after serious loss, it did not improve the beam.
You may be able to improve divergence, but that is something to work
with after first correcting the beam. Without correction, it will remain flat.

One solution is a prism pair, the other lye's in DrLavas thread...
