Sharp 505nm max current?

Hey LPF,

I ordered the Sharp 505nm from DTR and was just wondering if any of you have pushed this diode beyond 100mA? I believe the data sheet said that was the max.

The reason I ask is because many, including myself, push the Sharp 488nm above the data sheet’s max current.

Figured it was worth asking. Thanks!

I forget what I set mine at, probably 250ma.

Mine is set at 275 mA and is actually 502 nm. It measures 110 mW IIRC.

Very nice. I have a driver that’s preset to 230mA. But I also just got a Groove 2 and Flex in the mail. Might have to mess around with it.

I use one of my constant voltage/current power supplies to manage the output of these diodes when I was binning them by wavelength and also to see what output power they might reach.
