I was wondering how exactly to set current on a lavadrive...with a rkcstr driver i usually just put the positive and negative probes on the +/- output pads on the driver and read the current...But i have heard not to do that with the flexdrive...anyone know why? :-?

Thanks

did u get the paper that comes with the driver ? it tells u on it ?

yep...and it says "choose and attach a test load"....So i just built one...(4X1N4001 diodes and a 10 ohm resistor...) But it only dropped the current 1v...(was at 4.11 and went down to 3.076 or something).....

I assume you are building a red laser, if so that looks about the right voltage, current across the 10ohm resistor is the most important bit though....

No a blu-ray ... Only got 4 diodes though forgot about that...I'm just going to buy a test load lol way easier...

I'm still not sure about setting current with it ... A professional driver may work better .. Plus this week I'm really busy so I can't stop by radioshack..
