Selling Regulations in the US?

Are there any regulations in the US about buying or selling a high powered laser besides import?

I don't think so, you will not get a laser confiscated if you ship within the USA

I have not heard of any seizures or such enforcement, but to be completely legal a laser over 5 mW must have the required safety systems and ascension #'s or be sold as a "module for incorporation into a system with same" unless it fits one of a few specific exemptions. So, many lasers here, it would seem, are sold without the blessings of FDA lawfulness. :
