Pontiac pointed me to the shade tests. These shades are worthless so i'm scrapping this idea.

Because of the heightened need for safety glasses with the new Casio diodes, I contact Wicked Lasers in hopes of setting up a group buy.
I'm hoping that if we can get enough committed buyers, we can purchase these shades at a discounted rate to encourage people to be safe while operating their 445nm lasers.
I received a phone call from Wicked Lasers today regarding the group buy. They love the idea of getting these glasses out to everyone to promote laser safety.
This will be a purely non-profit group buy. The whole idea is to get the price as low as possible to encourage people to buy some glasses, and stay safe.
All the details have yet to be worked out. Payment will either be sent to me, or to Wicked Lasers. Once all payments are made, the glasses will be shipped directly to me and I will distribute them. I'll provide the packaging material, and simply charge exactly what it costs to ship the glasses, which I can only assume will be ~$1.70 first class with delivery confirmation.
This is simply a feeler and I do not know what the final price will be. We'll run this feeler for about a week to collect interest and get a rough number of buyers. Steve from Wicked Lasers will then let us know what the prices will be.
I was told we may be able to get them down to $20, possibly even less.
So if you don't own a pair, This is a great chance to get some.
