Sanwu 10440 laser!

Hey guys,

ive been stalking the laser world for a long time but decided to get myself one as well. Im looking at the sanwu 488nm and have a question about batteries. I know the voltage is different between a aaa and a 10440, but will the laser run with just lot less mw if you use a aaa instead of 10440?

And does anyone have an experience with the sanwu 488nm in the pocket series? Looks amazing. I wanted to get a 473 but they seem to be non existent now(like the jetlasers 473nm

AAA is 1,2-2,5v
10440 is3,7-4,2 vont
sanwu can't use AAA

Yes you will need a 10440 lithium ion rechargeable battery.

I own one - AAA's aren't enough to power it on at all. What do you want to know? All I can think to mention is that it gets warm fast so you need to keep run time short.

The diodes in these have a high forward voltage. Unloaded AAA batteries may get as high as 1.7 volts. Loaded they tend to be 1.5 volts if new. Alkaline are better than "heavy duty" carbon batteries, but still not enough to power one of these.
