THIS SALE IS OVER

For sale is a modified Ti-B 200mw 532nm.

The differing factors from the original is that the twist-switch tailcap has been modified to a on/off rear click switch, the host was lightly polished, and the IR filter in the front has been removed.

The unit has maybe the totality of 2 hours on usage. It takes a single 14500.

This laser peaked in the 240mw range with a fully charged cell (4.2V), but has been stable at just above 200mw.

This laser is also in good condition and runs great, the reason im selling it is for funds for another project.

I did a full review on this laser a while back, but that was on the original Ti-B, this is pretty much the same laser, but nothing has been altered with the DPSS itself. (other then the filter)

Would like to get 220$ US shipped to either canada or US.

Feel free to PM me or post in this thread if you have any questions.

Lastly, the items for sale is the laser only, I wont include the 14500 batteries. The onus is on the buyer to know thier customs and laws, I take no resposibility for siezure, and reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. It will be sent via Canadapost Xpresspost, which has tracking and signiture confirmation. (for canada and US recipients.)

I wont be taking international orders outside of north America for now.

Thanks for looking.

Modified tailcap with the on/off switch epoxied in.

Front IR filter removed:

The tail-cap has square threads, and threads on and off with half a turn.

Re: Jetlasers Ti-B 200mw/532nm

Why did you remove the IR filter? Would have been interested otherwise, as I don't have goggles protecting from the IR.

Re: Jetlasers Ti-B 200mw/532nm

IR filter had a scratch across its face, creating a line difraction on the dot, thus needing removal. If I could figure out how to defeat the epoxy holding the head together without damaging the laser, I would have replaced it.

As for goggles, it is about 30mw of IR leaking, and is fairly diffuse upon the output. I don't find it a concern for IR exposure (other then if you intend of pointing the bussiness end at yourself :p )

Crap... if I didn't already have one on the way from the GB, I would jump on this deal.

Yeah IE, im about 2 weeks ahead of when it was time to post this.. but back then I didn't plan on selling it.

I'll consider it then, I'm not that experienced with green lasers, but I thought there was a 2.5W IR "pump" or whatever, and that it was leaking 2.5W.

Re: Jetlasers Ti-B 200mw/532nm

Edit: My bad ginhev, I didn't see you are from Sweden, I won't be taking orders out side of north america for now. I should have probably made that more clear in the OP.

Since this is a 200mw 532nm, and Ive messured the tailcap current at 1A or so, I belive the pump diode would be around 1W 808nm or so. Alot of that pump energy is lost in the gain medium/doubling crystal to achive 532nm. (a general rule is 1:5 ratio for 532nm vs 808nm pump. bieng ideal and generous conditions so take that with a grain of sand, as it varies quite greatly for different systems and power levels, but thats an average).

1W 808nm goes in, 200mw 532nm and some leakage comes out.

I can explain more in detail later if you want, but I gotta run.

Ah. Is that how it works? So for 1W green lasers you would need like 5W's of IR? Is that even possible for a single diode or do you use multiple diodes?

Re: Jetlasers Ti-B 200mw/532nm

Definatly possible for a single diode, Usually 5W pumps are found in C-mount format (higher powers are typicaly F-mounts or modules with intergrated TECs, before going to diodes that look like mini-bricks. and multimode (meaning multiple emission sources on one die). but it is definatly a single diode. Offcoarse, high power and multimode spell out terrible divergance and beam specs, so additional corrective optics need to be used.

Usually diode arrays are used in fibercoupled or side-pumped configuration for the gain medium (at this point, ND:Yag rods are common), but I haven't seen setups like that outside of 532nm lasers ranging in the hundred watt range and above.

Efficiency and design varies, which is where that ratio is just an average. I have a 1.5W green lab on hand that uses a 5W pump, and likewise a newish pen (Im sure over 100mw of 808nm) that emits 0mw.

Can search more on the matter for specific items, I forgot where (sam's faq maybe?) but there is a ton of info about this.

Sorry to see your selling yours, I just got mine with hak's GB and it would be hard to part with :)

Re: Jetlasers Ti-B 200mw/532nm - 230$ shipped (can/us)

Bump...

Re: Jetlasers Ti-B 200mw/532nm - 230$ shipped (can/us)

I'd offer, but I think you would find the offer too low:(

Too bad my wife says i'm not allowed to spend any more money.
