I have a NUBM47-A1 (very low hours) block x10 diodes all capable of 7W+ 445-455nm range.
Special price for whole block or just diodes your choice.
250$ + shipping

Is there a big difference between the NUBM44-V2 and the NUBM47-A1?
Funny enough there was never a "V1" or "V2" just different sources.
Only NUBM44-61, NUBM44-71, NUBM44-81

For the NUBM47-A1
The "A1" represents "A" in hex base-36 is "10" (x10 diodes) and "1" (x1 module)

But to answer your question the typical wavelength of the 44s is more towards 440-445nm while the 47s is more towards 450-455nm. The power or efficiency of the 47s is greater than the 44s

Thank you for the great information Darktron. Is there a way to distinguish a 44 from a 47 once they're removed from the block? I see nearly every LD seller using 44/47 interchangeably in their advertising. Is one of the two available in more abundance than the other?

44s is more abundant currently but depends over the years one can be more than the other.

Only few that have had many of them in hand can tell the difference. But you'll want a microscope to tell for sure.

Yeah I have a microscope. Not much good unless the LD is decanned though. For these photos, I'm sure about the NUBM07 but not the one I think is a 44.

So it appears that what I thought was a 44 is a 47 but the 07 looks identical to the 47. I'm sure about the NUBM07 because it had a g-ball lens and is an obviously different wavelength than the 44/47 I have seen.

However, I wasn't aware of the NUBM44 model numbers. The LD'S I have purchased state NUBM44-V2 / NUBM47 so I don't really know what I'm getting except that it doesn't have a g-ball lens like the early NUBM44's....unless I'm wrong about that too 🤣

All 44-61, 44-71, 44-81, 47-81, 47-A1 have flat lens can while the other 4X series have old style gball lens. All of the 0X series has Gball lens but there is 3 different ones across this series. The can on a NUBM07 is different than a NUBM0A, and the NUBM0F is also different.
