I just got a PM from Troller...I mean Bowler
He must be bored.
Bowler take a pic of your NUBM08 block on top of your drawing you took a pic of, I bet you don't even have a NUBM08 block.
Bowlers message I just received:
Hi Red, sorry to bother you, but I hope you can help me here as I am not confident with the LM317's head room, I'm not seeing anything clear on the datasheets and I have read mixed Voltage views...
For my circuit I made in the thread. The max Voltage running rate the 08 datasheet tells me is 4.8V Max So i do not want to push any more voltage through it.
What is Head room do I need on this? I'm reading 1.25 as that what the LM317 requires and so therefore needs.. then reading on other forums 1.7V and on this forum Cyparagon saying "It is typically ~2.25V+1.25V=3.5V where we run them, or 4-4.5V to be safe. Maybe even higher in some cases to account for lithium voltage sag."
So what actually is it?
I know I can trust in your words.
Hope you can help,
Thanks
