Rkcstr Voltage Mod?

Is there any way to lower the voltage requirements of a Rkcstr Driver? Has anyone tried this? Any word on success? Here is my problem on why I'm wanting to do this!

the only way would be to change the regulator but the regulator he uses has about the lowest dropout voltage you'll find without getting into the buck/boost side. why not just use a lavadrive?

I would and I want to... but Dr.Lava is out of the office at the moment. (gotta wait a week) unless you have one on your toolbench u would like to sell.
