Restrictions/regulations in Alberta, Canada?

Ive been searching the forum and the google quite a bit, but I cant seem to find any accurate regulations or restrictions on lasers, or outdoors use for Alberta.

Id assume it will be the same rules and regulations as the whole country, but I could be wrong and it varies province to province.

Anyone know if anything is considered illigal for outdoor use? (not public)
for more detail, Im mostly concerned on pointers and portable lasers. Lab lasers are not likly to leave my house.

There are blanket laws in place that could be applied "distracting drivers, loitering, having something the cop wants to own, etc." but as I understand it, we have no laser based laws in Canada.
Where are you in AB? I am in Calgary for a few more hours.

There are very few laws that impact upon laser pointers, and those that do, tend to be federal, so you're unlikely to see variation from province to province.

There are no Criminal Code provisions that specifically address lasers, but depending on what you do with it, your actions could fall under Nuisance, Assault, Mischief, or Obstruction a Peace Officer. Again, since criminal law is federal jurisdiction, it's the same in all provinces.

Some further "danger areas":

The Canadian Aviation Regulations, which are also federal, make it (at s. 601.20) an offense to shine "a bright light source into navigable airspace in such a manner as to create a hazard to aviation safety or cause damage to an aircraft or injury to persons on board the aircraft."

Similarly, the Aeronautics Act, which is also federal, makes (at s. 7.41) any action an offence if you are "(a) interfering with the performance of the duties of any crew member; (b) lessening the ability of any crew member to perform that crew member's duties;"

At the provincial or municipal levels, you could theoretically find regulations dealing with ownership and sales etc. But to date I haven't heard of any such laws.
